Charity search engine Everyclick.com has been crowned the UK's Best Website of 2008.
The website was chosen because of its content, navigation and design.
More than 1,500,000 votes were cast between November 3 and December 8 to determine the winners of the Website of the Year awards - the people's choice award initiative by online research agency Metrixlab.
Wayn.com was chosen by the public as UK's Most Popular Website of 2008 with more than 15,000 votes.
Other notable winners included Best and Most Popular Fun & Games Site Zylom.co.uk and Best and Most Popular Portal iGoogle.
In each category two prizes are up for grabs. The title Best Website of the Year is provided to the website with the highest average score on content, navigation and design. The Most Popular Website is awarded to the website with the highest number of votes.
