Playstation Launches 3D Social Gaming

Gaming giants Electronic Arts is set to launch a 3D social gaming community for the Playstation 3.

Playstation Home Beta will let users communicate, interact and share gaming experiences online. Currently in development and due to be launched this spring is EA Sports Complex.

Peter Moore, president of EA SPORTS, said: "We're proud to support the PlayStation Home Beta with a very robust offering from EA Sports.

"As part of our continued commitment to the connected experience and the digitisation of our business, the EA Sports Complex is a rich new online environment that presents a compelling and immersive social gaming experience for the global sports audience."

EA Sports will mean users get to play exclusive multiplayer games, as well as meet and interact with other players, view leaderboards, which will show daily, weekly and annual tables comparing themselves against the rest of the EA Sports nation. There will also be a section to watch trailers and other content from EA Sports games.
