A new computer game will let gamers play indoor golf from the comfort of their PC on international 3D courses.
Players can compete against each other online, on their own or against the computer on ProTee Play, the new game from indoor golf simulator company ProTee United.
The golf club can be operated through a mouse or joystick. The game will offer the same possibilities as a golf simulator and include 20 international courses.
ProTee United plans on introducing a number of supplementary packages at the end of the year including an advanced sensor system, which will allow players to build their own indoor golf simulator at home. Next year the company will present a version which can be played on the Nintendo Wii console.
D van Drie, ProTee United's president and chief executive, said: "This game makes it possible to play a lifelike game of golf, configuring weather or course conditions, choosing your favourite golf clubs, playing or chatting online and exploring a golf course.
"ProTee Play allows everybody to play golf on their own computer, both gamers, pro and amateur golfers. With this game we introduce indoor golf to gamers and computer games to golfers, making them both enthusiastic."
